I assumed he meant afraid of going to fast with the Voracity hull.
this hull is couple years old and has been reinforced with FG threw out hull.

Afraid of 8s ? NO, its awesome . I tried 5s recommended from the info and advise here. I tried 6s and then tried 8s. its true once you go 8s you don't go back. lol
its a animal like I wanted, yes its over powered for sure. Ran my 52mm prop today for fun to see the data and it ran killer...this hull loaded is over 10 lbs and it jumps out of the water like a rocket and does not stop until you get scared and back off throttle.
all that fun at and amps are good, temps are good …….

no its not but, I do have a quote in my gmail for a phantom/Racemaster hull and hardware …………...lol

have tentative plans of buying that hull and hardware and using my motor and esc

The over heating of esc's in boats at low throttle and on and off throttle is mostly because of parasitic drag, Airplane car and boat controllers are pretty much the same. How come I can run my Rc cars and planes on off on off all race and flight long. To accelerate a boat from off plane to on plane draws so much more amps than a car or plane. Remember your boat is in WATER, when you come off the throttle the boat wets down and then all you have is that little prop to get it back up to speed. For example I have a 1/5 scale 4wd on road car, it does about 60mph with a castle 2028 on 8S and I can get about 9 minutes of run time on 10,000mah going on and off the throttle the whole time. In comparison my sprintcat with the same motor on 10s and 12,000mah I get about 4-1/2 minutes running at 65mph. and thats mostly at full throttle for an offshore race. My huge 80 inch plane on 5000mah gets 7 plus minutes doing all out 3D maneuvers. The water is the limiting factor, when you go slow more of your boat is in the water and thus uses more amps to push it through the water.

I got 76 mph today at 82% throttle / 296 amps / 34,900 rpm / ESC 52 C. / 652 propeller

This boat is turning out to be just what I wanted, you can sport around in the 60 mph range and also lay down 90 mph pass if you have the nads to hold the throttle down....

Its true what they , too much info is dangerous to the uninformed.....lol

I am reading my data log after runs and today I got ballsy and did a couple 100% pulls on the throttle to get some data.

The amp spike is expected but, the rpms seem to be way low threw out run at any throttle position.

Is it possible my motor cant turn this big prop as fast as its intended?

this is a 87% pull on throttle

It's a Y wind motor. Set the timing to 10 and test. If all is well, keep bumping it up in increments to 15.
