If your not into competitive racing or saw events , you don,t need to spend the big dollars on a neu motor as its just going to be a waiste of dollars. The t.p. motors are very good in both reliability and power . you will need to work out what battery voltage your going to run before buying a motor as the higher the voltage the lower the kv motor you will use. O.S.E. sell all you will want.

As listed above a NUE 1527 1600kv works really well but you will need a 1/4” flexi

If money isn't a problem I would go with the Neu.

don,t go to 1/4 inch shaft on this size rigger as there is no need for this extra drive line drag. its a 45 size rigger .

I was going use the 3/16 th this year. And see how it holds up. Yah the Nue pricey motor I see now. For not justified. I think this JAE 45 fe hull is okay for now untile I find something better define. I think the TP 4070 motor 1700kv motor will be a good match for this hull and the 200 or 300 amp esc will be something that interest me for this hull. Got couple props I will try 1st like the 440 and the 443 prop.

those props will be useless on this rigger. try abc h7 or 1815-17 / 1816-17 / 1817-17 sizes.

I wonder why Joe the owner of ZippKits sold me those props to start with for his boat hummm. Thank you for your info Sir.

Not sure why you would use a 440 or even if it is a 440 x 3 blade on the rigger of this size. maybe check to see what Gill [ grs boats ] uses on his 40 size fe riggers.

My 45 size riggers run props from ABC 2015 upto 2217 depending upon the motors and Hull. Start conservative and work up I'm size using telephone data from your esc.
