I was just wondering if there would be any real advantage between a conventional inboard /outboard vs. the Cauldwell out drive, efficiency, reliability, maintenance ? I was thinking like in a twin cat or even as a single in a offshore Vee. Anyone try adapting the F1 out drive in any thing other than a tunnel yet?

good ?
i think most peeps here are set to use the drive trains that have always been used on their boats, so to venture off is risky and not cost effective.
but it can be done. just make note the way "The F1 Drive System" sets in a tunnel hull it sticks up an out a ways so a stock hatch on any other type hull would have to be modified and probably would not look right. just my 3 cents.
