Hmmmm, seems there is a thread on OSE and numerous discussions about modifying the strut to facilitate a lip seal, so no water gets in and no grease gets out. All of these “fixes” seem after the fact. Well, all my boats have sealed struts and at least for me, this isn’t a problem..

The best grease to use is synthetic "green grease" its 100% water proof most of the grease on the market is only water repellant and breaks down half way through the run
