Plugging in lipo's into esc ?

Hi all when connecting lipo batteries to brushless esc do's it matter which lead you plug in first ? Im using a Swordfish 220 Amp esc on 4s and 6s when using 6s i was told to solder a resitor to the female plug of esc as a anti spark lead which means i would connect the + first then negative lead. I guess it’s a matter of opinion, but being an EE, I always like to have my grounds established throughout the system before applying main power. Microprocessors and such are sensitive devices...

As an industrial electrician I have to agree with you Craig. Neutrals, Negatives & ground wires connected before the Active/positive wire.

      Andris.
The anti spark lead, on most ESC's that I have seen, are usually attached to the red positive lead. In that how yours is connected?
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
