    48" Tunnell Hull

    Hello all,

I have a 48" tunnel hull (1.2+ meters) I am wanting to covert to electric. I am looking for some recommendations on motor/ESC combo. When I bought it, it had a K&B 11cc nitro engine powering it. I never had it in the water; I have always wanted to convert it to electric but never sure what setup would work best. After some reading/research, I am starting to think 700-900 kV running on a 10S lipo battery. I was looking at the Leopard 56110 - 780kV motor. I am not looking for super-duper speed, but I would like it to be pretty quick. I am willing to sacrifice a little performance for decent run time.

What do you think of my train of thought or is there another direction I should head.

    Thanks for the pointers!

    Dave

    Hi Dave

What do you consider decent run times?

    Budget?

        Hi Doby,

I am looking to get at least 6 minutes of run time and looking to spend $500-$600 not including batteries. I know electronics on this scale are expensive.

        Thanks,
        Dave
