SV27 Strut and Rudder on SH?

I was thinking of using the sv27 strut and rudder on my 40" SH knock off. I am going to use 700sc and Jeti 600 and 14 cells. Anyone think this would be a good application or would I need something different. Thanks.

When a rudder is offset instead of inline does the boat turn differently? I have never dealt with offset rudders.

well, if its offset to the right, it turns right just a tad better, but you also get more speed because the prop wash isnt blocked and it also somewhat counters the effect of prop walk...

That's a really large boat for that rudder. Make sure when you mount it you can get atleast 1" of rudder below the prop centerline.

What's the minimum you think I should go with?

It really depends on the size of the transom and where it would be mounted.

The transom on that boats very tall. You will have to mount that rudder low in order for it to get a good bite.
