    30" hydro

    I must admit that I was never a fan of modern hydros but after seeing the TFL "Popeye" (as on the OSE store site) I was attracted to it mainly because of the graphics. The newer model I am not particularly keen on.

    That said, I saw this hull from a local Queensland builder. 750 mm in length by 410 mm width. Jason does an excellent hull build. I am wondering what opinions are on this hull including what gear would be fitted for a fast stable hull. I noticed in the images the example shown has an offset driveshaft. On a hydro is a centrally mounted prop or an offset prop preferred, please?

      That's not a Popeye in that link, it's a whiplash splashed in fiberglass with a Popeye cowl on it.

      I heard a guy in Asia was going to maybe splash a whiplash, maybe it's done already???
