    TFL Pursuit or Kyosho Jetstream?

    Hi Folks,

Want some advice .....I am interested in purchasing a TFL Pursuit or the Kyosho Jetstream. Anyone have either of these boats? What are the advantages of either hull? I know they are both Deep-V but maybe one rides better than the other. I leaning towards the Kyosho for its self-righting feature but wanted to ask around before I dish out the cash. How does this self-righting feature work anyway? Its a flood-hull correct? Does it require the throttle to flip it back over like other boats?

Maybe someone has another option for a hull? I am looking for 30" or above. Dont want a cat

    Thanks guys,

The pursuit is renowned for its handling qualities. I am currently converting a Pursuit hull to self righting. I have recently completed two Arowana hulls (hull similar to the Pursuit hull) with a self righting feature.

The Kyosho is a very narrow boat and is limited by the battery size that may be fitted. I believe also a replacement motor is very expensive. Other than that it is Kyosho and quality. Look for videos on You-tube.

Anyone hear for Toysport? think they are from Europe somewhere. Any local dealers? I think they make self-righting hells 30+" but cant find much info. I am open to other boats besides the Pursuit or Jetstream. Just want it to be 30+". Although I would love a Pursuit that is self righting. Anyone know anybody that makes these mods and sells?

Unfortunately, no. TFL did canvass on comments a few years ago for a self-righting Pursuit hull but alas the overriding consensus was against the idea. Self-righting hulls are popular in Europe so perhaps there is a greater chance of a hull from there. This is the Toysport "Triton". From Europe and most likely very expensive.

Toysport is a quality hull and built in Hungary. PM member PiroSteel, he's the owner. I believe RC Chief is a US distributor, OSE member BHchieftain

you wont be disappointed with a pursuit I have 2.... as to the self righting, the Pursuit may not be self righting but its also difficult to flip and a very tough hull I have sent mine flying at 60mph several times

                Hi Fireman,
I have some info for you regarding Toysport self righting hulls, give me a ping at [email protected]. I also have a nice build thread somewhere on this forum on my Syncron done many years ago...

Nice boat man....looks fast. Length? How does the hull handle in rougher conditions? What is the price of a Syncron Hull?

Thanks! 29", I hit 82kph on the GPS last year , totally unnecessary lol... It handles pretty good in the chop although I don't rip it around that fast in it but still lots of fun. I'm not sure what they are going for now but BHChieftain (James) can help you out with that, When I bought mine from him I was just getting into this and he helped me a lot in getting it all set up. Cant wait till this good old Canadian winter is over!
