looking to push an old white heat 43" single step hydro

    Hi
Looking for a large brushless motor and speed combo and recommended battery 4s and up? - to sport run an old 1970's octura white heat hull. This hull originally was designed for 3/4 hp gas engine. Weighs in about 5 pds. Not looking for high speed, just reasonable planing for a few minutes.
    thanks!

You will need either 8S or 10S for that big boat. A motor with a Kv around 800 will work for 8S, an easier voltage to assemble than 10S. A Castle 2028 or similar-sized TP or Leopard motor would work well. Not sure about an ESC, a Swordfish 200 should work. The prop choice will depend on the speeds needed, that boat will probably need 40 mph to perform well. You could start with an x460, it would be a good place to start.

If you can fit in 4S2P you will get a lot more run time. I have seen a White Heat hull but I have no idea how much room you have for packs. You will have to concentrate on making the hull watertight! That is more important than the choice of motor or a ESC.

is this an original White Heat, or the second generation White Heat 4-60?

remember the old White Heat 60, i think it was made to suit the 60 size glow engine.
