      Thanks,

      Every time I tried googling it, I only got like 3 - 4 pages of ETTI products of ebay

              During the use of any electronic speed controller, an electric motor creates a ripple that affects the battery voltage. (somewhat of a wave motion)
              A power cap module is used to deplete this ripple effect which in turn means that the average voltage that the speed controller is recieving is alot closer to the real voltage of the battery that is being used.

              eg. If using a standard 7.2v pack in a car, the ripple affect may cause the speed controller to be recieving voltages between say 6.8 - 7.0v even when the pack is freshly charged.

              A larger capacitor will handle a far higher ripple current.

              Hope this helps

                I also found the equation for this ripple current,
                It is

                P = R squared x R

                P = Powerloss
                R = Ripple (amps)
                R = Ohms

                    um........ R can not mean two different things in the same equation.
                    Unless one is r and the other is R, so which is which?
                    Not trying to bust balls, just want to clarify.
                    The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

                        Sorry bout that, did'nt even notice

                        P = A squared x R

                        Its meant to be

                        P = powerloss
                        A = Ripple (amps)
                        R = Ohms
