    Which brushless ?

Newbie. Have a 26'' lightweight fiberglass v-hull. Older build and currently running 80's vintage Graupner "Speed 500" surface drive. 6 Cell with an ESC. Like to get more speed, so thinking going to BRUSHLESS. I know nothing about brushless. I'd like to retain my ESC and 6 cell power and Graupner surface drive (the roostertail is cool).
Any Brushless education and advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Kurt

Firstly when going from Brushed to Brushless only one type of ESC works with either motor type. so if you go brushless you need to also use a brushless ESC, you can keep using your 6 cell pack as long as you let the ESC know how many volts it is.
have a look at O.S.E. Parts Store as the T.P. Brushless Motors are very good and not expensive. i am sure others on this forum will advise you on what size motor and esc to buy that will suit your particular mono hull. Hey; you will have a bigger Rooster Tail when you go Brushless.
