    Graupner motors

Hi I was wondering how the graupner 600 8.4 race will run on 6 cells in a 26in boat. Will a 40 amp esc hold up if it is water cooled or should I try the regular 600 8.4 which says it runs on 6 to 7 cells. Thanks

Either one can work with a good 40 amp boat esc. The prop would have to be in the 35-38mm range.

I'll fire in my few dollars worth here. That is how much I have spent on Graupner motors and some.
For a 26"hull a 600 8.4 on 6 cells is not going to be head turner what ever the prop.
7- cells will get it to go but we are still looking at a 26" hull.
I have a 26" abs cat (great panes) and had a lot of fun running 600 motors in that.
I used Jamara, Graupner, MiG and sone old MT motors.
8 cells gets things going and is a lot of fun as a play boat
10 cells is more fun for a while untill the motor returns to part form
12 cells is very fun for about 1 min and then it is deffo in pieces.

      Back to your question.
40A would be the minimum I would put in there if you are to prop for speed.
Please show us a pic of the hull and let us know what you want from it.

      Alaways keen to help.
      See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
