    jeti 600 question

    Hi all,
this thread is after the salvage of my aquajet from the bottom of the pond.
Well I dried everything out as suggested and the receiver, motor work fine but the speed control sends voltage straight thru to the motor always. Nothing goes smoking just has no control.
    any ideas??
do I need to buy another esc?

Does the steering work ok? Try a different receiver and see what happens.

Have you cut the heat shrink of the speed controller ?

      Is it definately dry ?

If so, do any of the mosphets appear to be damaged ?

Yes have cut the shrink off carefully and everything is like sealed in epoxy or something.
Yes the receiver works on both outputs for steering and throttle
was wondering since the batteries were hooked up to it and it went under could it have shorted it out via the plugs (deans)
It was underwater for two days
I do not see any damage but the esc smells a little like hot electronics but it is not hot. thought it was the shrink i took off smelling like that

You have more then likely damaged one of the mosphets on the circuit board.

All it takes is a tiny amount of corosion to build up on one of the legs of the mosphets and this will create a short explainig why the speed controller just puts the voltage straight to the motor.

If you bought it from me send it back to me. I can "TRY" to get them to replace it. Send me an email for details.
