Just thought I would share. I ordered a blinky from a company, they were out, so they sent me a Common Sence RC Balance Pro. This unit is really nice. Here is a link showing the blancer. There is also a good info link to listen to about Lipo packs on the page

Any idea which batteries are or are not compatible? From your own collection of plugs?

Here is some valuable info I found out. I was disapointed at first because the pins were all differnt and the balancer did not work. I was enlightend you need to move the pins and bingo every single pack I own works, including the tiny ones for the Helicopter. As long as the plug pins are the same width you should be good to go. I have Poly RC packs and they fit fine and I have little DN power and RCMart packs for the heli. I needed to move the pins and there all perfect. One of my Heli packs was way out because I charged it several times with no balancer and it really was out, the Balance pro was blinking like crazy but it finished up even. G/LComment

Hi;
I'm Scott from Common Sense RC. Ice, I saw your comments about what batteries you can use with the Balance Pro. You're right, some batteries' balance plugs have gaps between their wires (PolyQuest, Hyperion and others). All you'll have to do is move those wires over so that they're all in consecutive slots on the balance connector, and they'll work perfectly with your Balance Pro.
If you happen to have Thunder Power or Flight Power batteries, here's the adapter you'll need - http://www.commonsenserc.com/product...roducts_id=213. For those who aren't as adept at moving wires around, our balancer adapter boards come in handy (http://www.commonsenserc.com/advance...+board&x=0&y=0). These will match your Balance Pro up with the most popular adapter types on the market.
Let me know if you have any other questions about our Balance Pro!

So Scott, the accuracy is .05 V? And when charging, after balanced, while still connected, whats the spec on how much will it "bleed" to the low cell if one charges faster than the other? Does your board get hot during balancing while the battery is being charged?IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. Meniscus, just keeping an eye out around the web for where our expertise is needed. :)
You have a couple good questions there.
1. Not sure where you're seeing the .05V accuracy; you'll actually see a much closer balance than that with the Balance Pro. As a matter of fact, an imbalance of .05V is the cutoff where we suggest that you should not charge your pack without using the Balance Pro.
2. Bleed on the Balance Pro is around 150mAh-per-cell.
3. The board can get hot while balancing. What it's doing is discharging the pack's cells to match the cell with the lowest voltage, and that energy is dissipated as heat. The more cells the Balance Pro needs to discharge, the more heat it will generate. But this is the way the board is designed to function and you don't need to worry about damaging it.
I hope that helps!
