Twin motor wiring

I was wondering what the best way to wire my batteries and speed controls would be for my twin powered cat. Should I parallel the batteries, or run two separate systems?

My plan for now is to run two 4s1p battery packs, 2 8Ls, and two hydra 240s.

I'd run the batteries in parallel so both motor systems see equal voltage.
