Hi all looking for a strong and good quality strut for my 23'' round nose hydro that i run on 4s . The Speedmaster .21 strut i have in the work shop is way too big. I have a BJ 29 strut on my 23'' mono strong casting but the bushing wears out fast. What strut would be suited for this application ?Regards Andris Golts.

On boats like this I just buy a cheap Chinese strut with 4mm or 3/16" bushings and remove them and drill/ setup as speedmaster style bushings.
Lots to choose from.Nortavlag Bulc

Thats a very good idea Ray, the old school lead/ teflon bushings do seem to become sloppy quite quickly, i much prefer the speedmaster type brass sleeve bushing.Comment

These work well for applications that require something smaller than the .21 sized speedmaster... And they still use the brass floating bushing (which I prefer).
