Oh man, I just finished reading through that thread... I can't believe it sank and you never found it, totally sucks. How have you waited this long with another still new in the box? I would have build another right away to make me feel better! But if you ever feel like parting with it let me know and maybe we can work out a good old all Canadian transaction

Well, I just happened upon this hull from a good friend whom was importing from TFL. It was awhile later. I have built a few since, AC Lazer 40 twin, AC R-42 twin (BlownAway), the Daytona, a outrigger, and a HPR 115 which should get finished this winter.

I didn't realize you were a fellow Canuck, cool. My priorities have been changing a bit since I bought a chopper and am looking at a cabin at a lake. So just let me think on the Shocker. I'll try to assess it this week.

I have a conquest with twin NEU 1527/1.5Y's on 10S per side, and just recently raced it for the first time. I raced it in Canada at the Can Am race. I was extremely impressed with the speed and the handling. I was way under propped and it was still in the mid to high 60's. i'm sure I can easily reach 80 and stay on the water. The setup is very different from most twins you will see. My motors and shafts are not in the sponsons but come out closer to the center of the hull. With this setup I don't have to worry about one prop loading and the other unloading in a corner (this is one of the main handling problems with twins) also I have found when the props are closer to the centerline of the hull there really is no need for counter rotation, this leaves you with so many more prop options. I ran a pair of prather 230's and I was quite impressed with the speed it gave me, being such small props, and prop walk was unnoticeable. I know this setup can easily pull a pair of Octura x455/2 props and would yield speeds in the 80's. Depending on your motor choice I think the conquest would be a great hull. They are built well and are very strong, but they are not as pretty or sexy as the MHZ or the HPR hulls.

Thanks Michael! Do you have any pictures or videos you can post? I think its the curved back end that gives those other hulls their good looks. I now see why people have so many boats! the possibilities are endless and every hull offers something different.

I'd say your right about the streamlined sterns. The gas boats tend to be just cut off and really just all about business.

Hey that sounds like an awesome setup Mike. If I ever build another oval style central props is the way I'd go.
