1st time and confused

I bought a 1138 caudwell f1. I'm using a DX2E transmitter with 310 rec. the rest of the boat and hardware came stock I'm also using standard 9g servo. Now when I put boat in water for first time run left, right rudder worked but boat only ran in reverse and boat is not supposed to have reverse. I have no forward.

Also setup your speedcontrol. The instructions that came with the boat. I'm not sure how it is setup from the factory.
