speed passion motor in a miss gieco 29

I have a Miss Gieco 29, and a monster motor that looks would fit. My question is if the diameter is correct, would this motor be a good upgrade

    It has tons of power

does the stock water jacket come off the dynamite motor easily?

If it has a smooth can (boat) not like the heatsink can (car) in the link. 2700kv 6s?..Needs to be under about 2,800 watts for the stock ESC. Water jackets are funny in that one manufacturer will list their motor as a 40mm can but its actually 38-39.something so good luck with that. At that price point look up TPPowerUSA.<free jacket

it is a heat sink type can. But i have seen many people running castle motors that are heatsink cans, and have water jackets on them.

Does the water have direct contact with the motor?

2750kv is way to high if you plan to run above 3s. The miss gieco 29 need something like a leopard 4074 or 3674. A 4074, 1800kv would make for a high revving 6s setup. An octura x442, x642 would be good props to try.

Yes, the water and seals contact the motor. And Castle/NEU?

There are so many other motors more suited for boats. You would need a custom cooler for it if HRC can make one.

there are 2 types of Castle Neu motor cans, the 15 size [ 40 mm ] has raised fins and the 14 size has indented fins. O.S.E. has the special cooling jacket to suit the 15 size motors and you can use just about any 14 size [ 36 mm ] cooling jacket. what i do with all cooling jackets to be on the safe side is after i fit the cooling jacket to motor i run a bead of silicon sealant around the edges to asure no leaks occur.

As above, stated that sensored motor is not a good choice for a 6S boat. The motor connections are not high-amp rated like more appropriate motors have and the Kv is far too high. The motor's "tons of power" will be converted to smoke and flames soon enough.

Save it for your truck and buy a more suitable motor, like a 36x74 size with a Kv between 1500-1800. The former for longer run times and less heat, the latter for speed with shorter run times.

Thanks everyone for the help. I am awaiting a 160 amp ESC, and will likely get a TP power motor, or the Leopard 4074 1650KV

Go with the TP. My buddy has a 4050 1520kv in a 29 geico and its quick on 6s.
