Leopard 3674 2200 KV 180 amp esc for JAE .21 prop dia + timing ?

Hi all installing a Leopard 3674 2200 KV motor in my J.A.E .21 to run on 4s 5000 mah lipos .What diameter props can this motor swing safely with out melting down ? Which timing setting should i program on the esc 0 degrees or 3.75 degrees ? Regards Andris Golts.

a very good prop is the ABC / H7, i have the same set up kv motor and this prop works very well it was recommended by Zippkits jae 21/fe review build. as for timing set it at 7 degrees but you can go up to 15 degrees if you want abit more power.

I have a Turnigy 3674 2200kv I was thinking of doing the same thing with. Does anyone know if this motor is a D or Y wind, and what the timing would be. Its the XK-3674 Gray Motor.Thanks.

Hi, your motor is a D wind and a good safe timing is 7 degrees, you can go higher but just check motor heat after a short run. i just tried the Turnigy xk 3674 - 2200 kv purple motor and its very impressive .

I have never run the purple motor, but the gray motor is pretty stout. Thanks for the info.

there have been reports that the new xk turnigy motors are copies of the leopard motor. not sure if this is true or false, just what i have heard.
