    cowl locks

has anyone been able to seal an electric boat with cowl locks and gasket? had pretty good luck with the threaded pop rivets that harbor freight sells, but not having to unthread fasteners would be real nice.

It appears he simply replaced the stock screw hardware with the spring loaded hardware, i.e. the hatch and gasket is the same as stock.

when using screws to hold down cowl you are able to adjust the tension of the cowl on the gasket . with cowl locks, the pressure is already determined so i was interested in knowing what gasket he used and does it seal against water intrusion. didnt want to buy every type of gasket to find the one with the correct thickness and density and width.
