Newest addition to my fleet....anyone run one?

I got this boat in on trade. Never seen one in person, pretty impressed. I was going to just sell it because I'm not really in to hydros but I think I might keep this one. Anyone have one of these? What's your setup? How fast can they go? I was thinking about pulling it apart and doing my usual mods to it. Like the color? :)

Was just looking into buying one. They usually aren't solid green. Doby is correct TFL Popeye. Speeds usually low 50's on 4074 and low 60's 4082 2200kv on 4s.

I don't run a Popeye, but my 33" sport Hydro runs 68 to 70mph. in race trim.

Yes, sorry guys I failed to mention it's a Popeye. Good eye! Trying to decide what motor and esc I'm gonna run. Maybe a 4060 tp motor. It will fit a 6s pack too. Too much weight?

Man I dunno. This boat is pretty big. If I was running in a class that required that motor I wouldn't hesitate to use it, but I already have a spare 4060 laying around so I think that's what I'm gonna use. The only other hydro I've ever seen (not really interested in hydos myself) is a ul1 and that thing is doodoo compared to this boat. Just my opinion.

Makes sense I have not seen one in person. I thought it was suppose to be 32" and narrow. Now I am going to have to rethink this.... Wanted to build a boat for 4s

Well I can measure it for you this evening. Do you have one?

Also, compare my counter for scale. That's a 2x4 beam under it. It may be about 32" but it's not too narrow.

Sorry poor use of the term. I really meant width as where the ride pad was, I though it was narrow there by the transom. Definitely is tall though that being said it does not look like there will be any issues using large motors it looks to have a lot of internal space for batteries forward and back as well as left to right.
No I did not buy one yet but am considering it.

These hulls pack a LOT of air. This is a hint.
