    Building opens the door to all kinds of possibilities. It wont likely save you any money but you'll get it exactly how you want it.

        Great choice, always better to build your own, spec it the way you want, and reinforce it so it can do anything you like without destroying it.

        You can't say the same for any RTR boat available on the market.

          I bought the cf Daytona from kfxguy. I paid him extra to do reinforcements with honeycomb cf. Hull should be good for 100 +
          This Motley Crew is the first electric boat I've had since the early 80's when I had a Kyosho Jetstream. After the Kyosho finally quit (ran it in salt water only because I grew up in a waterfront house and I never maintained it), I got my first gas boat. Had two others since. So the fastest gas boat I've ever driven went 68 mph. I would be happy to get the MC going close to that speed, but the Daytona will definitely the hotrod boat for sure.
