My genesis has a big leopard motor and wicked prop ,lost my set up info I had in my phone so I can't give exacts, when I try and give it full throttle it will sometimes hook a hard right ,trying to roll on the power doesn't help ,even started moving the left side battery more to the rear to see if that helped ,changed the controll rod to a heavier one thinking it was flexing under stress ,it has a plastic Traxxas servo ,now I'm wondering if I've reached the point of needing a stronger servo ,any thoughts?
Genesis hooks a right

I would try a 'glitch buster'(capacitor), or possibly a fresh BEC or a Rx battery depending on your setup. More info would help but one of these may help.
It is possible that all the power is being absorbed by the esc and doing rude things to the servo. It could just be the servo so if a spare is around you can switch it out. -
I don't think the servo is up to snuff. Is it rolling when it hooks? You probably have the prop too low in the water also. These hulls like the strut to be higher. For a 45mm prop, set it flat on a table with the rudder hanging off, the bottom of the strut should have a 1/4" between it and the table.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Thanks guy ,here's more ,speaking 180 ESC ,prop is a 1918, motor is 1750 kv 4082 ,prop is high ,I even dremeled it up a little ,when it hooks it turns sharp right, really sharp ,like the hull caught a little wave, glitch buster sounds good ,re the servo I thought it would break the plastic gears before the little motor backed off ,I'm thinking its an electronics problem ,I have this same servo in a spartan and another boat but they don't have the aggressive prop the genesis does ,so I thought weak servo,Comment

1815 or 1915 max. I tried a 1916 on my shocker (wider hull but the same length) and it didn't do as well as the 1915. I imagine a 1918 is horrible and wags like a dogs tail. Try a different prop. My buddy went 103mph with a 1915 if that says anything (with a mildly modded Genesis)32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment
