    Whiplash 40 FE Conversions??

I'm getting ready to build a Whip 40 for Q-Sport. Anyone else out there build these for FE? Would like to get some thoughts/ideas on battery placement, etc.

Can you please post some pics here??

    Thanks!

IIRC Oscarel raced one, he should chime in if he has time with all the birthday cake candles.....

      Darin,

Hit up Pete L (Shooter) on here. He has a Whip 40 that runs very well.

        Pete's runs better than mine.

I've done a pair of these. If I do another I'll do it different again.

No he doesn't. He does have a Whip that is painted with Black Pearl graphics. But it isn't a black pearl like the one he cuts. Although..............hmmmm.

Hi Darin. Great choice for Q sport. The boat runs very well. I built up the center section to accommodate the taller batteries.

Here's the build thread if you want to take a look:

Here's mine. Doesn't look as good as Shooters but it runs very well.

I've raced in heats with Oscar's hydro, it runs really well!

We can take this to another thread, but the boat has a fairly wide stance and has proven to handle speeds of 65+ in race water, so I wouldn't see why not! Maybe I will try that this year.

Guys, if you race in IMPBA you cannot run a P-class sport boat in the Q class, it will be too short. Not a problem in NAMBA.

                            IMPBA has "minimums"? Interesting.

Thanks for the pics, guys. I'm going to go ahead and build and modify my Whip 40 kit and see how it goes.
