I notice on some RTR boats like the Revolt 30 the stuffing tube is offset to the right instead of being inline with center of the Transom. Is that to help with torque roll or for some other reason. Is this ever done on catamarans or only Vee hulls thanks.

It used to be very popular on both FE and nitro monos to combat torque roll and prop walk, but as boats became faster the offset sometimes caused turning problems by lifting the transom and hooking the boat.
IME offsetting the strut is an advantage on catamarans; most of the cats I've built in the past 30 years had some offset to the right. It helps with propwalk and because a cat doesn't lean in the turns it has no negative affects. I do the same on all my sport hydros, both SAW and oval boats, for the same reasons.

I have a Genesis with single motor for a SAW use mostly
How many mm should i offset the strut to the right???
Thanks!!!!Comment

Stick with the stock strut setup on the Genesis, I am running as high as 73 mph without offsetting the strut.. depending on the water conditions...Comment

A boat the size of a Genesis could use 4-5mm of offset. You don't have to offset it, but it will reduce prop walk and allow you to reduce the amount of left trim in the rudder. Less drag means higher speeds. I've run up to 100 mph with offset struts and minimal rudder trim.

3 degree offset has worked pretty well on my riggers with minimum rudder corrections. GillGO FAST AND TURN RIGHT !
