I used automotive glazing putty simple because it was what I had

blueprinting: is making your hull bottom straight with sharp edges
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

On my nitro boats I used to use epoxy resin and micro balloons. make sure your sanding block is 16" or so for the inside edge. I used the Grait plain wings sanding blocks. I used 400 wet and dry and finished it with 600 W/D. I used 3M Scotch tape on the in side of the tunnel the resin will not eat it or stick to it so after it drys you just peal it off and start sanding. that was the way the manufacture showed me and it works.
Hope this helps the old guy

I like Evercoat Polyflex glazing putty. Sands easy and remains flexible. Perfect for glass hulls.

The boat already has a couple coats of paint on it.

Luckily I still have to do the bottom.

The bottom of all my boats are ugly. Very strait and sharp, but ugly.
