ETTI and Rasch are OK, but there are better available at a similar price point.

Most blue text you see on forums will be a hyperlink, click it and it will take you to a website. "this" and "this" in the second line of post 17 are links and so is "this cheap outrunner" in post 20.

The yellow hydro1 on doc prop's website is the Executive2 same as the one I suggested, as they are both in Ukrane I would guess they are made by the same guy from the same moulds as the one Gromov sells, but I could be wrong, I have never met Alex or seen his boats up close.

I use Futaba FASST, Jetti looks good too, there is an advantage to the 32bit GUID.

There is about 50g difference between my Steven de Graff mini Hydro and a Mini me, it may not seem like much, but that is about about 10% extra all up weight.

I have seen a competitive Dr Evil, I have not seen a competitive Mini Me yet. The person with the good Dr Evil and it is very good, is friends with Oliver Seiss from H&M so I doubt if it is stock weight.

The worlds are every other year so 2015 was the last one, I did not attend, there are videos on youtube though a quick search failed to find any hydro footage at all.

Most of the top hulls are made by random racers in their spare bedrooms/sheds/garages. It takes an incredible amount of time and work to get a good set of moulds and most guys have jobs and do it in their spare time. It is people making themselves a boat then trying to recoup some of their costs by selling a few as once you have your molds it is relatively easy to knock a few more out. Maybe the guy that made the mini Hydro doesn't run Hydro1. Most don't have a CNC and are carving plugs by hand, so it is not the quick and easy process you may be thinking of to scale up a design. Water doesn't scale and the same boat won't always work as well at different sizes, maybe he made one but it wasn't as good. Molds have a finite life, maybe it was the best thing since sliced bread and he kept a few and sold the rest to his buddies.

Whenever I've bought Tefon for flexies I have bought it as being for .98, .130, .150, etc I have no idea what the actual diameter is, I will try to remember to measure one tonight.

thankyou paul i really appreciate your knowledge , been doing research now for 6 days , its really apparent like you say the hulls are few and far between and dotted all over the place / world , astonished no one has brought the best of the best together and set up shop , hardware carbon parts ,hulls etc ? i dunno ?

im ganna buy a few hulls me thinks and have a play , just an excuse to buy more

                  lightness is the key !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My teflon for .130 flex is .145 ID, the flex measures .126.

                            I have a few photos :-)

The first 3 are Hydro1, last 2 are Mini Hydro, the ones with the visible black carbon on the insides of the sponsons are Rasch moulded hulls, the others were the original designers, but the only difference is the weight, he sold the moulds when he quit.
