    Scratch built 26in hydro

I've been gone from this forum for a few years. I got into the hobby a few years ago, made some very costly mistakes! Got back in a few months ago for another try after ALOT of reading!

    I've learned.

My brothers a cabinet maker built this boat and I bought installed the electrics. Waiting on a coupler.

Boats made from aircraft plywood with a balso wood top. Fiberglassed the hull, sealed the interior with resin. Bottoms painted white.

    120amp Turnigy ESC, 3S 4000mah nanotec battery, 3660 3180kv motor, 39mm 1.4 pitch octura prop sharpened/balanced/detoungue

Everything's working fine. What do you think? Anything in the pictures you think doesn't look right?

I do have one question. Bought the motor from hobbyking can't find the windings type anywhere, in order to set the right timing. I'm going to start it low, of course.

Some here responded to your questions in another forum Speedy. Okay, wWhere is the CG?

Not sure where the water inlets are. I would simplify the cooling lines, you do not need separate lines going to the motor and to the ESC. Run a single line to the ESC, then to the motor/motor mount, then out of the boat. The motor water jacket outlet must be at the top front of the motor.

Hope the hatch tape doesn't peel off the beautiful finish.

Are those the water pickups under the boat alongside the stuffing tube? Are those turn fins either side that it is standing on. As far as the motor goes I think they are d wind, so just set your timing to 0*. Can you do some pics of the bottom?

Yes, I will take some picks of the bottom. My brother put two water pick ups on the bottom either side of the stuffing tube. Weird I know, but I didn't build it. I will suggest to him he simplify the plumbing.

The center of gravity is right at the edge of the rear of the motor/back of the sponsons. About 1in back from the rear or the sponsons. You think it should be farther back?

I'm hoping to run it this coming weekend. I'll post video.

          Thanks
