That looks sweet! If you don't mind, what do you think it would cost to build that approximately?

I have a kayak when I can go to the lake for an hour or 2 but this would be neat for those quick runs to the lake, especially when it gets colder.

      Frame with foam: $15
      Motor, servo, mount: $25
      Esc: $15
      Radio: $25

You will also need 5 min epoxy to mount the servo, and pvc glue, and of course a battery.

Mine runs on 4s power 1800 mah

Is the motor mount mounted directly on the servo for steering?

Yes its mounted on with a L bracket directly to the servo for the best steering possible.

I'm sure it'd be even better if it was a twin air prop...

prop on each end of the frame... would probably make it even more stable and have enough power to haul 15-20 lb cats.

PS. I think someone needs to take up a side biz of selling RTR or ARTR rescue rigs like ones such as this or similar -- for the For Sale section of this forum and maybe even the OSE shop

It's not a bad idea. The kit could be sold with some assembly required, which would make shipping easy. Anyone can rock a back of zip ties and a can of PVC cement. I'd buy one after I knew it was a proven concept.
