Need help finding a good gps?

I recently sank a new boat I am building will make a post about that soon... Anyways the gps we had no longer works... So, I wanted to ask you guys what goes you use? Where can I buy it? What do you like about it and not like about it? And my last gps that I lost the first time I figured out how to use it because it cam with no instructions... How easy is the gps you're suggesting to use? Thank you so much for your help in advance.... New to the hobby but already caught the bug I have 5 real boats and a few toy boats not worth mentioning...

I have two builds I've been tanking pictures of and will post pictures and specs soon and would love advice thanks guys!

The garmin forerunner series 101, 201, 301 have been good and they're small. You can usually grab one for $50-60 too.

    For example

This question has been asked many of times. Not long ago we had a thread about it and I did a test against a couple different ones. Worth doing a search for.

I have tested almost all the mini units and the one I would recommend is the Voltron .

I use an etrex 10 about 80 bucks on fleabay and its pretty accurate... If I run a speed that is higher than I have achieved I won't use it until I run 2 more runs at that number...

I just downloaded a free GPS speedometer app for my phone, that seems to work decent enough for my needs. My phone is a Kyocera Torque XT, so it's armored and fairly waterproof as long as it doesn't get down too terribly deep, and I have insurance if it gets messed up (or completely lost to the deep), which I wouldn't have with a regular GPS. lol
