Anytime. I can attribute my knowledge to some of these old timers on this forum. I learned a lot from them. So to them I thank! Without them I wouldn't have learned what I have.

        Would TP4050 2100kv be a considerable upgrade over the leopard 4082 1800kv?

Make sure your flexes turn freely. Sand and polish them.
Sharpen rudder. Make sure there's no slack in the rudder or steering.
You need to disable low voltage cut off. Those escs are notorious for cutting out with the lvc enabled.
Shorten wires. Unnecessarily long wires adds resistance. That adds heat.
Good connectors. Ec5 are not what I consider good in a boat.
Make sure you have at least a 4-5mm gap between the drive dog and strut.
Is it running wet? Sounds like it might be. Either you have too much weight up front or the struts are more negative than they should be. Those props will easily carry the nose in the air. Start shifting weight to the rear. See how it acts. It should ride on the rear two pads and on my really fast boats mine ride on the rear pads and a little of the middle pads.
If your running it in the rough water I've seen you run in, 60-70 is about all you'd want to go anyway. You may not be staying at top speed long enough for the gps to refresh to get your true top speed. For it to be accurate a blip of speed will not do it. Check and do all I've told you and there's no doubt in my mind it won't go past 80 in calm waters.
It's been a while, I did a few things as suggested but sure I can improve on sharpening the rudder and maybe give the shafts some more polish. I did sand them but I think I can do better. 2 weeks ago I took it out after messing with battery placement and sorting out the ESC cutout. From a previous 62.5mph, she did 71.1mph!! Drop the strut a little to keep the nose down since she was popping wheelies all willy nilly and she went 72.8mph. Did a run yesterday, freshly charged packs albeit with some wear and tear on the cells, give or take a few volts, slight chop, ran it up wind and she went 79.3!!! As I was about to do a run down wind, somehow the packs moved in the hull and hit some stuff that led to some wacky behavior and one thing lead to another and I was done! I probably hit LVC and didn't notice since I was doing multiple high speed runs. I'm sure I could get that 80mph the next time out! Thanks man! I will try to get castle connectors just for this boat when I save up some more funds. Who said this hobby was cheap?
