I've had some health issues over the past theee weeks so I haven't been on here much. Get the nose out the water a little more and it'll go faster. If it's a y wind then use 15 degrees and a d wind use 0.

I did pick up speed by putting my stock provost boat 6 pole d wind at 7 degrees but that may just be that motor likes that timing. You could try it tho.

To Kfxguy's point - I've also ditched the multi piece stock drive, I switced to the single piece drive shafts, polished, & grease the hell out of them. Only thing I haven't done is shorten or sharpen the rudder. Still getting there, I'm sure once I do that I will break the 80mph hump (I'm only 1.2mph off) I've also yet to have glass water to run on.

Sorry to hear that bud, I knew something was afoot when you went missing in the Zelos thread. Hope everything is ok with you and your family. My problem with the Zonda is obviously space to put the packs. Initially before I knew what the heck I was doing, I had 2 packs over the stuffing tube in the rear and 2 on the tray infront of the servo. With that setup the Z would wheelie the hell outta the water. I shifted things around. Put ESCs about 2" infront of servo, 2 packs infront of ESC and 2 in the sponsons. That remedied the wheelie effect but guess I got robbed running wet. With the later setup, the hatch sometimes doesn't close too well and needs assistance. Two things:

        1) Any recommendation on battery/ESC placement?
        2) I'll be needing your hatch kit for the Z soon, if you still got them.

I also have the one piece drives, I'm on holiday right now and have all the time in the world to do these tweaks but I'm lazy now. Lol! Do you have videos or pics of your Z? Would love to see it. Knocking over 60 for me I almost threw a party. Can't imagine doing an extra 10-15mph above that. I have the room for it in the lake and my 62mph run needed some good run off space.

By balance charge, you mean using the boards? I use those every time I charge. Maybe the pack is on its way out?

Nice I like that color scheme! My ESC's are about just where yours are. You have 6s per side, what 6s packs did you find that fits in there??

I have the Turnigy Nano-Tech 6S 5000mah - They just slide in by the hair on gnats ass. It's tight! They go in much easier then they come out, I can tell you that. =) My 6S 5000mah Revolectrix packs are to tall to fit, I would need to cut out some the hatch lip to get them to fit & I do not want to do that. The Nano's are 49mm tall while the Revo's are 54mm. Here's a full hull pic for fun. Zonda.jpg

I have the Revos as well in 4400 I think, I got them through kfx but I didn't even bother try fitting them in there. I will see how best I can balance her out.

According to the measurements the Revo 4400mah should fit, they are 1mm shorter than the nanos I have. I've thought about getting a pair as they would also be 73g less in weight (each) than the nano 5000's.

He mentioned the method in the Zelos thread but off hand if I tried telling you I would lead you astray. I remember a drill, slow speed, sand paper, polish. Lol

I chuck the flex up in a drill and spin it (WHILE SUPPORTING IT!!! If you don't it will hit you) and while spinning it I run 400 grit up and down it to its smooth. Then hit it lightly with 600 grit. Then I use mothers wheel polish to polish it.
