With or without flex saver

Is there a danger using flex saver? Will I be restricting the spring effect of the flex cable?

No it won't do that. As long as it is tight against the motor coupler it will be "invisible".

No point in a flex saver on the 2 piece flex system as the flex cannot come out the back, due to the separate stub shaft that has a step on the shaft to stop the stub coming out.
