    Motor timing

I just upgraded my genesis with a new SSS 4082 2000kv motor, I have a 180 Seaking ESC and a 445 prop. I will be running it on 6S batteries so I want to make sure the timing is right for this setup. I am new to electric boats and trying to learn this information, What is the correct timing for this motor? I'm not sure of the winding style either
    Thanks,
    Tom

That is a Delta wind motor, so low timing, 0-5*.

Use zero. The 7.5 setting will give more heat, not more power.

I got to the pond this morning to run my genesis with the new 4082 motor on 6s and 0* timing, I was very happy with the results with a 67.2 MPH on its first run...The temps were very low on the esc and motor I would say around 100 as I didn't bring my temp sensor...
              Thanks again for the help,
              Tom

here is a quick update on this awesome setup.. I got 2 more runs in today with the genesis on 6s, I played with the balance of the boat by moving the batteries a little bit. On my first run I hit 70.2 MPH and the runtime is close to 6 minutes... I ran my gas cat a few times while the motor and ESC had time to cool down, motor 114* ESC 120* ... Put some fresh packs in and got a 72.9 MPH run on her this just keeps getting better... Very impressed with this easy upgrade....

6 Min. is a long run time.
Are you running it until it slows down or hits the low voltage cutoff??

Yes when the power drops off at all I bring it in. I ran for 4 mins on my first run and the packs were at 54% still..

When I charged the batteries for tomorrow I was down to 19% of the packs... I will be going to 4.5 to 5 minute runs from now on..

Here is a short video of the Genesis running 72.9 MPH last sunday... it was a real surprise when I opened up the boat... I have since moved the batteries forward a little and the boat is solid on the water and still this fast.https://youtu.be/Lj6vJqKo7SI
