    New To The Hobby

Hey guys, I'm new to boats but have been into RC since I can remember. A buddy and I recently dove in together and got some starter boats. We got the Hobbyking Scott Free and Relentless V2 as they were a pretty inexpensive way to see if we liked boats and we already have a few batteries that fit them. So far the only things we've done is purchased some 38mm 2 blade props and lubed the flex shafts. Everything is running smooth so far and we are very impressed with the boats. On 4S they really look like they're cruising pretty good. It was a very noticeable difference with the new props both top speed and cavitation issues. Just posting to say hello and to see if anyone has any tips for either of these boats. Thanks in advance. -Garrett

Cool, that's about an hour or so directly north of me. How are those lakes? I go out to a filled in quarry that's in a county park and it's usually glass.

I live right by Lake Keesus and keep my jetski there at a family friends house, it works out nice. If you go at certain times of the day and the wind is cooperating the water will be perfect. The weekends are obviously busy during the day if its nice out so its hard to run then Lol
