    Has anyone tried this setup?

    Cool idea but would be concerned about transom fatigue.
    Thought?

    What hull were you planning on using this on? Most folks would recommend a transom doubler for almost any application either of wood, carbon fiber or extra layers of fiberglass etc. I agree that the motor hanging off the transom can be an issue. Some folks have used the P1 drive all ready:

      Looking at building another df deep v or pursuit. I'd definitely reinforce the transom. I've had both and I know it may be sacrilegious to say but, I liked the pursuit better.
