    Geardrive Lube??

For those of you who have used a Hughey or Fine Design geardrive... Do you typically use a lubricant on the gears?? I would imagine you would want to if they were all metal gears, but what about the nylon gears, or a combo of aluminum or steel and nylon??

    Thanks,

Darin Ive been using SUPER LUBE synthetic greases in all my RC stuff for many years. From rock crawler axles to Transmissions on high speed rigs. It is waterproof and has PTFE micro powders in it to help stop wear on dissimilar gears. Ive been 100% satisfied with it

an RC rock crawler lost in a sea of boat parts.........

I use the same stuff I use on flex and wire drives - 80W synthetic gear oil with an EP additive. It sticks well to the gears for the duration of one heat, and it doesn't make the mess that true grease does. WallMart, $3 a quart - lasts forever.
