    newbie questions..before i ruin a good boat

I split my 29 proboat down the hull seam. I just purchased a cheetah carbon hull, leopard 4082 2200kv motor, mount, and battery trays. my plan is to use most of my proboat gear. stock esc, servo, offset rudder, and prop shaft mount. I was using 2-3s 5100mah lipos.
anything I need to know? will this set up work? what can or should I do to make the project work? all ideas, and suggestions welcome.
    thanks

I would strongly urge you to use the search tab and read up on the many Cheetah Build Threads on this forum. It will give you a good idea of setups that work best for the goal you have in mind.

How bad did you damage the hull? You may find a buyer with repair skills and time that would take it off of your hands. This could allow you the funds to purchase better hardware for your Cheetah build as well.
I am sorry that I cannot comment on your particular setup plans as I have not personally built a Cheetah. But I am sure someone will chime in at some point who has.

I have that exact motor in my Cheetah and it works really well...but on 4S, not 6S.

Not sure what the ESC you have is rated at??

I've built several cheetahs. Cheetahs that run extremely well.
The rudder is WAY too small for a cheetah
That servo does not have the power to turn a cheetah
        The strut is too short
So basically all of the hardware is not a match for a cheetah.

did you run them in parallel? why didn't the bigger batteries work as well?

If you are talking to me, its to much voltage for that motor, to high RPMs.

With that motor, you need to run 4S2P
