    Hardware question

Hey all. I a curently building a sport boat for my wife.
Even though it is based on a relatively cheap hull, a Kyosho I got on e-bay, I am trying to build it right as this is my first attempt at any type of build and I am using it as a learning experience.
Basically I have reinforced the hull with fiberglass.
It will start out with a Graupner 8.4v 700bb motor, on 12 cells.

What are the main differences in using something like this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=69 (second one down) or a stringer strut? I was toying withe the idea of using SV27 parts.
What is the correct strut length? It is a 24 inch hull.
    Thank you
    Joe

you will see no difference between that strut and stringer, that hardware combo is ok if you dont have problem with wide turn, you will able to turn tighter if the rudder set more far away from the hull and the prop (sometime mono need tighter turn), btw, i set my strut not more than 3.5" from transom, if its too long then your boat will run and turn retarted, i hope my info can help you out.

My Choice would be the Solinger mono hardware (5th one down) Easy to install works great and looks awesome :)
