How do I Remove the Impulse 31 Teflon Liner??

Okay so I bought the OSE Upgrade .187 cable for my Impulse 31

#1: How do I remove the teflon liner without damaging the boat

#2: Does anything need to go in the shaft in place of the teflon liner

To remove the Teflon liner I would just try and use a Paperclip or something to push on the end of the liner from the motor side. It should exit the stuffing tube at the transom and you can just pull on it, it should come out pretty easliy. You should be running the .25" Brass stuffing tube for a .187 cable with no liner. I recently switched to this set up on my ProBoat Shockwave. I grease the cable normally and re-install into the stuffing tube. I also add a little bit of 70wt gear old, but that's just something I am trying.
