Installing stuffing box in J.A.E .21 FE ?

Hi all ready to install brass stuffing box on my J.A.E .21 FE rigger im using .150'' flex cable with no teflon liner instructions call for 1/4 '' brass tubing.
Would 1/4'' brass not be to large a diameter for .150 cable? Regards Andris Golts.

Yes sir. 7/32 is what you want to use.

When you guys are building with 7/32" stuffing tube how are you managing the strut/stub end. The JAE Strut is pre-drilled for a 1/4 stuffing tube.

You will have to solder a 1/4 piece of brass tube with 7/32 ID to your 7/32 stuff to work as a sleeve to fit correctly the strut....150 flexshafts are more suitable for the .12 Jae's not for the .21/Fe ones.

You'll be fine with the .150 if you plan on running a P Limited set up or similar. If not, I'd do as Gill suggested and go with the .187.

That's what I figured. Just wanted to make sure you didn't have any new tricks up your sleeve.
