Atomik Segad C1 34in Brushless RC Boat

Saw one in LHS on display. Didn't ask for price.
    Also so one here http://www.ozasport.com/products/Ato...s-RC-Boat.html

    Any opinion on this one?
    Thanks in advance.

Looks really similar to the Hobbyking C1 Cat... minues the 2700kv motors (hk comes with 3300kv)

Ive heard terrible things about that site....

      Noted for the site. Thanks.
Which motor is better? Which one can handle 4S?

The HK can only handle 3s due to esc limitations (but Ive heard the motors can handle 4s but have not tried it)

The atomic, also says 3s and has 60amp esc... so i would be hesitant to say any of them can handle 4s out of the box.

Thats the old venom 34" c-1 cat. Atomik bought venom, boat is now discontinued. Original version had 2700kv inrunners. The motors were garbage. The newer version with out runners are better. esc's are rebranded turnigy/seakings. Electronics are designed to run on 3-4s lipo. I had the king of shaves version. Ended up putting 120a sec's and 2400kv x-long 380 sized inrunners in it. It ran in the mid sixties on 4s. Kind of a hard boat to work on though. Hard to get to the motors, and the flex shafts are 4mm.

Guys, can you tell me please if these are original motors and if it is a good investment overall? Thanks.

Looks like both the props are left hand rotating...very odd, they should be counter-rotating ie: prop on the left side should be turning inwards. Rudder looks pretty beat. Motors and esc's are Aquacraft so not stock. Coupler and cable looks like it has not been removed in a long time to be greased, a sign of someone that did no maintenance on it, be aware...if you go to see the boat again have them remove the cables, most likely rusted! The hull is very attractive though, love the theme and color, I agree, would be nice if you could just order the hull bare.
