I have a couple of twins that run on 6s each motor ,is it a good idea to change the flex shafts each season ? One broke and I lost the prop ,the shaft looked fine but I imagine the tourqe that gets put on the weld joint courses fatigue ,so I'm changing them out ,also what about the coupler? Change those each season too?thanks

Really depends on many factors, such as the quality of the shafts, the thickness, what kind of running, etc.
I would not replace them every year, seems too conservative to me. But make sure to inspect them well and determine if you should change them. However, they can still look perfect than still break on you.
Twins tend to be easier on equipment because there are two drivetrains helping each other out.
All my shafts are .187, most from OSE, and all of them running on 6S. Since I run in saltwater, I clean with freshwater and coat with CorrosionX after a day of running. Unless you are running expensive props, I rather lose a $15 Octura prop once in a rare while than prematurely replace a $25 flexshaft every year.
