Anyone interested in castle green 8mm connectors?

If your like me and have been using the green 6.5mm connectors, you've gotten spoiled. With the ever growing need for higher current, we are out growing the current rating of the 6.5's tho. Only other thing is to use the 8mm bullets (or other sizes maybe) and sacrifice safety for performance. I can't chance hurting myself for that, so I hope castle comes out with some 8mm versions some day in the near future. That's where you guys come in. If the demand is there, they will do it. I know they will sell and the demand is there, they just need to hear from customers showing the demand is there. So, if your interested, I urge you to shoot them a quick email letting them know your interested. Their email is

Use your mill and make a mold. After you solder the 8mm bullets on, put them in the mold and fill with epoxy. I have done this for other contacts in the past. Use teflon or similar for the mold. Mold release won't be as critical then. You may be able to make a mold from another connector using a silicon mold making product. I'm sure someone here has experience making molds in this way.

Honestly I COULD make them. But that won't do everyone else any good. Many more people besides me would benefit. Here's the email response I received....

Thanks so much for taking the time to write and your kind words. I have passed your e-mail along to our marketing director as well as the engineering lead. We have received a few requests for the 8mm bullets in a polarized housing; we're keeping track and if there's enough demand you'll surely see them in the future.

If you have any additional questions, concerns or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. Thanks!

I also sent in an inquiry about Polarized 8mm connectors and received a similar response.

If Castle is to take us seriously and really look at making these connectors, we all need to voice the want and need for these!!

It only takes a few minutes!

Just sent them an email. I’d love to see them release a set of 8mm connectors.
