What kind of RPM have you guys taken the Seakings up to?

I took an Alien 250 up to 65k and it puked it's guts out all over the inside of my boat. I was wondering if any of you had pushed the Seakings up there.

Some of the better ESC manufacturers include rpm data in their spec sheets. I didn't find it on the Seaking or Turnigy.

Terry,
You can probably drive a 2-pole motor that high, but a 4-pole like a Neu or Castle will cause problems like you have seen.
We have pushed some of the older T-180's to 55k with a 4-pole Neu with no issues.

We have guys in our group running 3674 Leopards with 180a V3s on 6S, which puts them at about 50,000 rpms unloaded, about 41,000 rpms loaded. No issues except for small Revolt 30s going 75mph makes for a scary fun time.

I ran a v2 in my Rivercat on 7s consistently which is almost 57k rpm unloaded and it lasted a long time until I started trying to run it on 8s. It just quit working. I made one pass and flipped it and then ran it on 7s for a few months not then tried to run on 8s and it didn't even arm from that point on. It didn't have a problem where it was and being over driven for a while. 4pole neu, 7s 1900kv 1521 motor.

What kind of Amps were you pulling with the alien? I was just sent a 300a version to test. Not sure what I'm gonna run it in. Maybe my 4s Rivercat if the mamba xl2 doesn't hold up. I won't be turning quite 60k rpm but it will be pretty high. Wait. I thought we were supposed to keep rpms in the 30k's? Lol j/j
