    Ken,
I do not have exact data for you but know that a neu 2215 is bit more of a motor than the plett. A 1527 could be very comparable. Also depends on what hull you are running. But they are 2 distinct motors and do have different characteristics.

BTW the Plett is an 8 pole.

Well I spin a 52 mm dia on my 1/8th scale with it. But the motor is limited since the wire leads are on the thin side. Yes, it could handle a bigger prop but how long would it take to melt the contacts off the wires? The world (or at least me) may never know.

That is why you could turn a bigger prop on a neu 2215. The wires, along with the motor, are bigger. The larger the armature and motor wire leads the more amps and or prop it can handle. The 1527 might be limited to 52mm dia or so. I do not know of anyone running a larger prop on that can.

i owned alot of 1527s, with lower kv or y (most of them) they come with smaller wires, im running 1527 1.5y with 455 prop on both of my cat and mono without any issue, normally, the that motor will heat up to +/-130 degree after +/- 2mins starting from 95 degree weather temp, with my 60" twin cat, hopefully cooler.
