    HK genesis more speed

Hi guys ,I removed the off set rudder and gained a little speed ,have a big 1750 kv on an M447,almost as fast as my Zonda ,had to do a bunch of repair on the front sponsons and I think it put to much weight up there ,I have the batteries behind the motor, still won't really get the nose up,I have the stinger all the way up plus a little more ,it's fast and fun but I'm out of adjustments to get anymore speed ,not even close to blowing over now,but it was before multiple nose rebuilds but I can't remove that now ,any ideas?

What does "all the way up plus a little more" mean? Did you change the angle or raise the stinger mount up? Where is the current CG from the sponson transoms? What does "a big 1750 Kv" mean? How many cells? How fast are you now?

We can't read you mind. Without knowing the answers to the above: add weight to the hull overhang until the CG is 30% ahead of the sponson transoms. Put on an x648 prop. Watch the temps until you are sure it is safe.

Sorry,it's a 4092 motor ,6s ,I lifted the stinger up by milling the slot a little more ,no angle change ,so my ballance point is 1/3 in from the rear ,with batteries I assume ?i can move them a little using spacer blocks ,don't have a clue how fast ,much faster than a Spartan on 6s,,I'll mess with the weight distribution ,that's a good tip thanks ,

Moved the battery back 3/4" and now the ballance point is 13" from the rear on a 36" boat, was making some good passes when the motor bearing started making noise so I'll have to test it next Saturday ,with the rudder back on center it torques to the side a little more ,do you ever install trim tabs on a cat? I have a set ,

Won't lowering the stinger raise the whole boat out of the water and add speed? It is surface drive, so if you raise the stinger you essentially wet the hull?

No , when I raised the stinger it lifted the nose and the whole boat up ,much faster, you can play with it so you don't blow over,I even raised the slot so I could lift it a little more ,works really well ,move your batteries around to help with blow over ,and there is an air damm you can put on the bottom of the hull between the sponsens to disrupt the air flow ,
