    Spec class boat racing

Interest in boats is slowly catching on in my area.
We would love to find a hull or decent rtr of some sort for cost efficient spec class racing.
Something affordable for the first time boat buyer, handles well, self righting would be great!
Really liked the Joysway mad flow F1 brushless but Atomik will no longer be selling them.
Can't seem to find any other U.S. distributor that has them either.
Any ideas on a suitable hull or rtr for this class?

The hard part will be the self righting

Self righting not a dead set requirement just would be nice for a bunch of new people to get used to a FE boat.
Once again was why the Madflow F1 seemed like a perfect choice.

Im open to any and all suggestion here gentlemen.

There are dozens of self righting boats made for Naviga racing, most are made in Europe and would cost a fair bit in shipping but ETTI Mini Envoy, Envoy and Vertigo and Tenshock Scord and Tomahawk are all top race hulls and cost as much as the Euro hulls but come out of China so get cheaper government subsidised shipping.

Dragon Hobby do a range of ARTR sport and budget race boats, the sword (unstepped) or shark (stepped) are both self righting 3s Mono1 boats and while they are not as good as the ETTIs and Tenshocks they are not bad and come ARTR for little more than one of their bare carbon hulls, they would be my choice for a budget one design race class. The Arpro handles surprisingly well for its scale look but lacks a flood chamber as it comes, the V24 handles great in all waters like batboats should do, but lacks a flood chamber and is pretty underpowered as it has a 3s setup as the others do, but is considerably bigger and heavier, I have seen one gutted and turned into a Mono2 so I bet it could be turned into a rocking P or P-spec offshore boat though, so could be an option if you don't mind a slow RTR class with upgrade potential to a national class.

Joysway make a whole bunch of ARTR self-righting Monos for sport boaters in different sizes qualities and price points.

Almost any monohull can be made to self-right with the addition of a flood chamber, and if you are specing a hull only one of you would have to go to the trouble of making a template, then you could scan it, trace round it or pass it round for all the others to copy so any FE Mono could be made to work for you.

We all already have FE boats ranging from stockers to 70+ mph customs.
A few other RC enthusiasts in the area have expressed interest in FE boats.
We are looking for a way to get other hobbyist into the FE boat side of the hobby at a reasonable price.
An ARTR would be a great option here as well considering these fellows RC enthusiasts already have radio gear lipos etc.

As has been suggested go with a Pursuit. Mono's are easy to drive and in a spec configuration and will stay right side up better than most. If you hit something your chance of bouncing off to one side leads to less damage, as you wont stick things like a pickle fork. The F-1 tunnels go over very easy especially on launch.
The Pursuit comes with the drive train rigged which is perfect for newby's. As stated it is easily upgraded. Quality is pretty good hull and hardware. Go on the Hobbyking site USA east or west and leave the Pursuit on your PC screen for a while and you'll get a reduced price. $230 down to $190. That is a boat that only needs a steering servo and radio, battery and ESC. (HK Turnigy 120 -$59)

If you sign into your HK account, it seems that you get the reduced price right away. Everything you say about the stock Pursuit is true. I would just add that it goes faster with something like an Octura M445 prop.

The Pursuit is the easiest to get right quickly in my experience. You're up and racing in no time at all. Plus, if you guys get a wild hair and want to go race elsewhere you need only drop in what ever motor is legal at the event you're heading to. Lot's of guys purchase thinking "I don't care about racing" only to realize later that they bought twice because turns out racing is a heap of fun. Racing is kind of an excuse to get a bunch of boat minded fools to hang out together.

The tunnel boats look cool and all but they require more finesse to drive and finish with. Throttle control is king with those.
